UKSPF Article: Celebrating Success and Preparing for the Future

Reflecting on Success and Shaping the Future of Skills Development

At MTC Training, we are proud to celebrate the incredible success of our UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) programme, which has supported Sunderland businesses in their journey to upskill their workforce and achieve their growth goals. Since its inception, the programme has filled over 750 training spots, equipping professionals from diverse industries with valuable skills in areas such as IT technical courses, cybersecurity certifications, desktop applications, and leadership and management development.

Reflecting on a Transformative Initiative

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund has been instrumental in empowering businesses across Sunderland to invest in their people. Backed by Sunderland Council’s allocation of £16,577,891, the initiative has delivered unparalleled opportunities for workforce development. This funding, including £14.9 million in core UKSPF funding and £1.6 million through the Multiply programme, has given businesses access to fully funded, high-quality training tailored to meet their unique needs.

From improving productivity to future-proofing operations, the impact of the programme is clear. Employers have leveraged this initiative to close skill gaps, build resilience, and support their teams in an ever-changing economic landscape.

Funding Support Opportunities

As the current UK Shared Prosperity Fund concludes on 31st March 2025, there are still valuable opportunities available to help upskill your employees in key areas:

Take advantage of these opportunities to invest in your team’s growth and development.
